KITE SURFING

Get your adrenaline pumping with kitesurfing. It is a very special experience to speed off on the water and feel the kite pulling you away.

Fanø is an exciting and challenging place for kitesurfing. It is both for beginners and for advanced surfers who want to try the sea with waves. Not the big waves, but still enough to get the feeling of the open sea.

When you see kite surfers doing huge jumps at high speed, you think that it must be one of the hardest things to learn. That is not correct. Kitesurfing is actually one of the easiest surf disciplines to learn. You should be able to kitesurf on your own after a beginner's course of 9 hours. You obviously don't learn to make big jumps and the like, but that comes with experience.

Safety and expertise are absolutely essential in kitesurfing lessons. We only use certified guides with international experience on our courses.

KITE SURF COURSES:

3 day beginner course of 9 hours in total: This course is the perfect choice for anyone who has not tried kitesurfing. We will provide you with basic safety knowledge and procedures. Once you have mastered the basic control of the kite, you will make your first attempts in the water. The course is designed for 2 students per Instructor. 2 students share a kite and a board.

2-day refresher course of a total of 6 hours: Our refresher course is dedicated to anyone who has tried kitesurfing before. You will update your knowledge and improve your technique. We adapt our lesson to your skill level and pace. The course is designed for 2 students per Instructor each with their own kite and board.

Private lessons: Private lessons are the best way to learn how to kitesurf or learn your next trick. Our instructor designs your training goals based on your experience, individual needs and learning style. A private lesson lasts 2 hours.

Landboarding: We also offer courses in landboarding. It is both an exciting beach sport in itself, but can also be a good way to learn the basic techniques for kitesurfing. So many of our participants choose to start with a landboarding course and then a kitesurfing course.

We do landboarding at our beach sports camp located 2 km south of Rindby Strand. You can drive or cycle all the way on the beach. Register now, and we'll see you on the beach on Fanø!

NOTE: Before you can go out for a drive, you must fill out a rental contract in our store at Kirkevejen 37 in Rindby Strand or Sønderklit 4a in Fanø Bad. Since you do it at your own risk, it is your own insurance that must cover any damage to material or people.

Who is Club Fanø?

My name is Sylvia Berges Hidalgo and I have a small family company that started in 2016 with excursions and tourist activities for children. Since then, we have continuously expanded the number of activities, so that we now also have plenty of beach and water activities, such as block kart, kite-landboarding, kitesurf. In 2022 we took over the company Kites & coffee, which also did beach activities, but is mostly known for its shop with kites. We now have 2 shops with a large selection of kites for children and adults, for the beginner and the expert.

Where can you find us?

At Kirkevejen 37 in Rindby Strand, we have a beach shop with kites, beach equipment, bicycle rental and SUP equipment.

At Sønderklit 4 in Fanø Bad, we have a beach shop and activity center where we have both kites and beach equipment, but also do workshops with kite building and other creative activities. Here, of course, we also rent out bicycles.

Can you see seals?

Yes, Fanø is one of the best places in Denmark to see seals. They are everywhere and can even be seen in the harbor in Nordby.

The most spectacular place to see seals is Galgerevet, where in the summer there are several hundred seals, both the common spotted seal and the rarer gray seal. We do walks on the seabed to Galgerev most of the year.

Can all ages participate?

Almost all of our activities are for the whole family. This applies to seal safaris, block art, one-wheelers, kiteland boarding and the creative activities. City walks are probably mostly for adults and older children, and kitesurfing is also mostly for young people and adults. We have something for all ages.
