Fanø is a great place to fly kites. The beach is so large that it’s easy to find a spot to fly your kite without disturbing others
Wood, paper, and a string — that’s all it takes to build a kite. It’s a lovely and relaxing way to enjoy nature. And there’s nothing quite like flying a kite you’ve made yourself.
Building and flying kites is not only fun — it’s exciting to experience that something we’ve created actually works, and it really makes you feel the power of the wind.
We make a very simple kite, but one that flies well and is easy to control. The main focus is on decorating the kite. Once you’ve finished decorating the canvas, we’ll help attach the sticks, lines, and handle. Then your kite is ready to fly.

We make kites in our shop and activity center at Sønderklit 4a in Fanø Bad. Everyone can join, and even children from the age of 4 can enjoy building a kite together with parents and siblings. The activity lasts about 1 hour.
