Fanø’s fantastic long, flat beach — perfect for kite landboarding
Kite landboarding is for those who truly want to feel the power and adrenaline of being pulled by a kite. You could call landboarding “kitesurfing on land,” and it’s a fantastic way to learn how to control a power kite. Fanø Beach is the perfect place to learn the sport, as the beach is wide, long, flat, and firm, and there is a designated kite zone.
You ride a board with four wheels and have a power kite attached to a harness in the same way as when kitesurfing. Landboarding is also a great starting point if you later want to learn kitesurfing, as it gives you experience in controlling a kite.
With experience, you can also perform many of the same tricks and jumps as with kitesurfing – without getting wet.

We do landboarding at our beach sports camp, located 2 km south of Rindby Strand. You can drive or cycle the entire way along the beach. Sign up now, and we’ll see you on the beach at Fanø!
Before you can start riding, you must fill out a rental agreement in our shop at Kirkevejen 37 in Rindby Strand or Sønderklit 4a in Fanø Bad. As you ride at your own risk, your own insurance must cover any damage to equipment or people.
2-Day Beginner Course – total of 4 hours. On the first day, you’ll be introduced to landboarding and learn how to handle a power kite. On day two, you’ll really get hands-on experience riding the landboard. The course is designed for 2 people per instructor, sharing one board and one kite.
Day 1, a total of 2 hours, can also be booked as a trial course if you’re unsure whether it’s for you.
Private Lessons – for those who only have one day to learn the basic techniques of kite landboarding. It’s also suitable for riders with some experience who want to improve their skills. A private lesson lasts 2.5 hours.
